Another busy week in the Parish where the Funeral team was called upon
several times to exercise their caring ministry. It was also Catholic
Schools week and each of our schools held events to highlight this
dimension of their ethos. The theme was based on the “Care of our common
home” and Pope Francis encyclical “Laudato Si”. Some of the children even
braved the elements to join the community for Mass on Thursday. Thankfully
none were blown away.
We have received the names of the 15 American students who will join us in
July. They are from the Pittsburgh area and have some very interesting
backgrounds and stories to tell.
Our “Operation Transformation” has not been deterred by the weather and
again this Wednesday they gathered for healthy stuff…. The Parish centre
continues to offer us many opportunities to support each other in so many
ways.
