The Family Mass Team had their first meeting of the new school year and
have brought great new ideas and energy for the Family Mass. The Team is
reaching out to new families and getting more people involved as well as
expanding its role at the 10.00 Mass.
We welcome Peter Massey who has installed his office in the Parish Centre
after refurbishing the conference room.
We say a very sad goodbye to Rusheel Nicholas Palla and family. Rusheel was
baptised here in Balally and then received his first communion and became
the founding member of the Altar Server’s Club. The family is moving back
to India but they will always have a place here in Balally their spiritual
homeland. We would like to thank all those who helped Rusheel and family
become part of our community.
Suggestions and drawings are still being received for the Parish Crest,
great interest has been shown. A provisional crest has been chosen for use
in the Parish Centre as some signs needed to be published urgently.
For safety reasons some of the trees at the side of the Parish Centre have
been cut back. The area looks a little ugly at present but hopefully a
proper fence and a beautiful hedge will be soon in place.
There is an ongoing effort to address health and safety concerns around the
Parish and we are very grateful to those who have high- lighted issues and
those who are working to sort them out. A special meeting of all the staff
was held to consider ways of increasing health and safety around the Parish.
