CHILD SAFEGUARDING
We have agreed with Mr Garry Kehoe of Diocesan Child Safeguarding to have our Child safeguarding course on Saturday 23rd of November in the Parish Centre. This course will also unveil the new policy towards “Vulnerable Adults”.
The course, will comprise of 2 sessions and will begin after the 10.00 Mass. For those of us directly involved pastorally with children we are required to take the full day course every three years. (Youth Ministry, Family Mass Team, Reader’s Club, Altar Society, Baptism Team, Parish Office and Clergy, Pastoral Centre staff, Child Safeguarding representatives).
The morning part of the course will serve as an information session for all other ministries who have not received Child Safeguarding Information. There will be teas and coffees and a light lunch for those attending for the full day. We will cover the cost of the course through donations.
